LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University women's soccer team will open ASUN play by hosting Central Arkansas at 7 p.m. (ET) Thursday in Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.

Bellarmine (0-3-4) and Central Arkansas (2-4-1) met for the first time in the D1 era last season in the Knights' final regular-season home game. The Bears captured a 1-0 victory after scoring the golden goal with a little over two minutes left in the first overtime. Bellarmine limited UCA to only two shots in the second half and OT, but the Bears made good on their lone attempt in the extra session.

Central Arkansas concluded nonconference action with a 3-0 home loss Sunday to Oklahoma State. The Bears have netted five goals this season, with five different players accounting for the scores. Three different goalkeepers have logged at least two full games worth of minutes for UCA, with each making at least four appearances.

Bellarmine closed out nonconference play with a scoreless tie Sunday at Chicago State. It marked the 12th draw in 26 games over the last two seasons for the Knights.

While Bellarmine's offense has struggled to produce goals, the Knights' defense leads the conference in goals-against average (0.71). Bellarmine has allowed only five goals in seven games while earning three shutouts and conceding more than one goal just once.

Senior center back Sarah Kraus has not left the field this season, logging all 630 available minutes. Fellow senior Zenia Nava, who this year has switched to defense from an attacking position, is next with 565 minutes.
