JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Bellarmine men's tennis finished its regular season on Saturday with a 7-0 loss at North Florida.
The Knights end the regular season 14-9 with a 6-2 record in ASUN action. Bellarmine's 14 wins are the most for the team since records began in the 2006-07 season.
North Florida topped Bellarmine at no. 2 and no. 3 doubles to secure the doubles point. Bellarmine's no. 1 team of
Jack Batchelor and
Kyle Tang was tied with Jonas Hartenstein and Rodrigo Crespo 6-6, but their match went unfinished.
The Ospreys swept singles action with wins from Hartenstein, Crespo, Matt Carroll, Bruno Vietri, PJ Kotan, and Breno Marques. Caroll was in a battle with BU's Batchelor at no. 3 singles, but Carroll came out on top 6-3, 4-6, 10-6.
Bellarmine's seed, matchup, and match location for the ASUN Tournament are to be determined based on the other ASUN results this weekend.
