LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Coach Brian Slack has announced a six-member recruiting class set to join the Bellarmine University women's tennis team.

Here's a look at the new arrivals:

Yeva Kramarova
Hometown and Country: Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine
Previous College: Tyler Junior College
Tennis Achievements: 2021 NJCAA Team National Champion; two-time second-team All-American in singles; first-team All-American in doubles
Why Kramarova chose Bellarmine: First of all, from the recommendations of my TJC coach, and because I felt that Bellarmine is the place where I can easily contribute to my growth.
What Coach Slack thinks about Kramarova: Yeva comes from one of the best, if not the best, junior college programs in the country, Tyler Junior College. I know Coach Dash Connell extremely well, getting to coach against him for many years. Coach Connell had nothing but amazing things to say about Yeva and what she brings to the team as a leader both on and off the court. I believe the next two years Bellarmine and the community will be excited to see what Yeva brings to the university.

Erica Hagi
Hometown and Country: Hong Kong, China
High School: Montverde Academy (Montverde, FL)
Tennis Achievements: J4 Lautoka Singles runners-up
Why Hagi chose Bellarmine: I chose Bellarmine because I love the atmosphere of the school and the team is competitive and the girls are a lot of fun!
What Coach Slack thinks about Hagi: Erica is an amazing competitor! She has been in the United States for the past two years at Montverde Academy down in Florida. Her coaches speak highly of her on-court demeanor and just overall as a student-athlete! I am excited for the next four years here with Erica!

Marika Caruk
Hometown and Country: Warsaw, Poland
High School: Liceum Ogólnoksztalcace im. Zofii I Jedrzeja Moraczewskich
Tennis Achievements: Top 20 ranking in Poland
Why Caruk chose Bellarmine: I was captivated by the beautiful stories, the atmosphere and the traditions of Bellarmine. A charming campus, great all-around opinions and a great training base. Prospective team with committed, professional and charismatic coach. I am very happy to become a part of the Bellarmine tennis team.
What Coach Slack thinks about Caruk: Marika has a bright future ahead of her, and I am glad she decided to come to Bellarmine! She plays a style of play that we need within our team. I believe her best tennis is in front of her, and I look forward to getting to see that on our courts at Bellarmine!

Nikola Kollaritsch
Hometown and Country: Stainz in Styria, Austria
High School: Borg Deutschlandsberg
Tennis Achievements: Multiple styrian state champion (U8, U10, U11, U12, U14, U16, U18 and adults); two-time semifinalist at the Austrian Championships U16 and U18 in singles and doubles 2021 & 2022 (outdoors and indoors); finalist in the Masters tournament of the eight best Austrian U18 players in 2021
Why Kollaritsch chose Bellarmine: I chose Bellarmine University because it is my dream to combine a great education with my passion, tennis. Bellarmine University is a university with many learning opportunities and great facilities. I have worked really hard to be admitted to Bellarmine and to make my dream come true to play for a Division I tennis team. I hope that my time at Bellarmine and in the United States will be an unforgettable experience and that I will be able to help the team succeed. I also hope to meet many new people and build meaningful connections for my future life. I am happy to be able to attend such a great university and can't wait for this fall to come.
What Coach Slack thinks about Kollaritsch: Every person I reached out to and asked about Niki, I got nothing but amazing reviews! How great of a person she is, how she never stops competing, and those are two of the top things I look for in a player! Niki has never stopped working since the day she committed to Bellarmine. I am excited to get to work with her and looking forward to the future and the success she will have!

Why Garris chose Bellarmine: I chose Bellarmine because it seemed like the perfect fit. I love that it is a small Catholic university close to home. Its tradition of academic excellence produces highly coveted graduates. I look forward to being a part of the growing tennis program. Go Knights!
What Coach Slack thinks about Garris: Jai was one of the first players I had on campus when I got the job. I love how she wants to compete against the very best and is always looking to improve both on and off the court! I think Jai will really grow within the program and her best tennis is in front of her!

Lillie Willis
Hometown and State: Canton, Georgia

Tennis Achievements: Ranked top 8 in Georgia according to Tennis Recruiting; three-star recruit
Reason Willis chose Bellarmine: I chose Bellarmine for their strong tennis program as well as their academics and the overall environment on campus. Everyone that I interacted with from the girls on the team, Coach Slack, academic advisors and staff were so genuine and welcoming that it was evident Bellarmine was the place I wanted to be for the next four years. I truly felt at home at Bellarmine and am looking forward to this next chapter athletically and academically.
What Coach Slack thinks about Willis: I believe Lillie is a kid who is flying under the radar! Having seen her play a few times, I believe she has a lot more potential, and I look forward to working with her to bring that level out and having it on a day-to-day basis! Lillie will continue to grow and the future is extremely bright for her!
