LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine University women's tennis team will open the fall portion of its 2026-27 schedule this weekend, playing in the Big Blue Invite September 18-20 in Lexington, KY.

The Knights will make the short trip to Lexington this weekend, participating in Kentucky's Big Blue Invite. The tournament will feature both single and doubles brackets and will be played outside, weather permitting.

Bellarmine's roster features just two returners who saw action last season in seniors Nikola Kollaritsch and Lillie Willis. Kollaritsch led the Knights with 32 total wins last year, racking up 19 singles victories with just five losses. Willis collected 18 total wins a year ago, with nine each in single and doubles.

Joining the seniors are four new additions to the team, split between transfers and freshman. Alice Brook, a junior, transferred to Bellarmine from Louisiana Tech where she was named Second Team All-CUSA Doubles. Lilly Muraske, a sophomore, transferred in after spending her freshman year at Texas A&M Kingsville. The two freshmen joining the program are Katarzyna Kliber, from Lublin, Poland, and Sloan Proffitt, from Calhoun, GA.

Head coach Brian Slack, entering his sixth season at the helm of the program, has three fall events on tap for his team this season. After this weekend's Big Blue Invite, the Knights will move on to play Lipscomb and Belmont in a hidden dual before finishing the fall at the UTR D1 Invitational.
