LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University women's soccer team will open ASUN play with a 7 p.m. (ET) contest Thursday at Austin Peay.
Bellarmine (3-2-2) and Austin Peay (2-5-1) are meeting for the second time in series history. They squared off in Clarksville, Tennessee, last season as well, playing to a scoreless draw.
The contest at Austin Peay caps Bellarmine's longest road stretch of the season, a three-game swing that also included outings at Morehead State and No. 21 Xavier. The Knights are 1-1-1 on the road.
Bellarmine carried the second-best winning percentage among ASUN teams in nonconference play at .571. Only North Alabama's .625 (4-2-2) was better. The Knights have amassed nine goals after scoring seven all of last season, with senior forward
Brielle Heuglin and freshman forward
Lauren Bingham producing three each.
Both of Austin Peay's wins have come at home. The Governors defeated Lindenwood 2-0 and Morehead State 2-1 on their own turf.
Aniyah Mack is pacing Austin Peay with three goals while five other Governors have tallied one. Mack scored in three straight games.
