KENNESAW, Ga. — The Bellarmine University women's soccer team notched its first shutout in ASUN play in a scoreless draw with Kennesaw State on Thursday night at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
Although Kennesaw State (1-5-4, 0-2-1 ASUN) attempted more shots than Bellarmine (3-4-3, 0-2-1), the Knights had two of the best chances in the match in the second half. Inside the last minute, junior midfielder

Sidney Rigsby and rifled a shot from 22 yards that grazed the crossbar.
In the 75th minute, sophomore forward
Clara Spurlock had a breakaway and 1v1 opportunity against KSU goalkeeper Allanah Blye, but Blye was able to make a diving save.
Bellarmine's defense recorded its third shutout overall. Junior

Shelby Smith split halves in goal, with each collecting two saves.
Kennesaw State finished with a 10-4 advantage in shots, including 4-2 on frame.
Bellarmine will play at 1 p.m. (ET) Sunday at Queens.
