JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville scored a goal in each half in defeating the Bellarmine University women's soccer team 2-0 Sunday in Atlantic Sun Conference play in Southern Oak Stadium.
While Bellarmine (5-10-2, 4-5-1 ASUN) has already clinched a berth in the ASUN Tournament, Jacksonville (4-9-3, 3-5-2) took a crucial step toward securing the eighth and final spot.
Jacksonville scored in the 11th minute, and the Dolphins added another goal in the 61st minute. Jacksonville finished with a 12-7 advantage in shots, including 5-2 on frame.
Bellarmine will conclude the regular season with a 1 p.m. (ET) ASUN contest Friday at Eastern Kentucky.
