LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University women's basketball team will complete a three-game road stretch when the undefeated Knights travel to Detroit Mercy before a quick turnaround trip to Purdue.
Bellarmine (3-0) will face Detroit Mercy (1-0) at 1 p.m. (ET) Saturday before taking on Purdue (2-1) at 7 p.m. Monday.
ABOUT DETROIT MERCY
Bellarmine and Detroit Mercy met last season in Louisville, with the Titans capturing a 59-49 win. The Knights led 38-32 after three quarters, but UDM outscored them 27-11 in the fourth. Detroit Mercy finished 17-16 last season while advancing to the Horizon League Tournament quarterfinals. The Titans are 1-0 this go-around after posting a 73-66 home win over Bowling Green. The Titans led by as many as 16 in the third quarter and held off a Falcons rally in the fourth. Horizon League Player of the Week Myonna Hooper went 7-for-9 from the floor in scoring a game-high 24 points while Aaliyah McQueen added 16 points.
ABOUT PURDUE
This will be Bellarmine's second time facing an opponent from the Big Ten in the D1 era after the Knights played at Ohio State in the 2021-22 season. BU will take on another this year when the Knights travel Dec. 15 to Indiana. Bellarmine represents the fourth of five straight home games to start the year for Purdue, which went 15-19 last season. The Boilermakers bookended 87-77 and 83-64 wins over Purdue Fort Wayne and IU Indy around a 102-58 loss to No. 6 Notre Dame. Guard Destini Lombard is averaging a team-high 16.0 points behind 63.3-percent shooting from the floor and has scored at least 13 points in all three games. Raegan Bass is next at 13.7 points per game and is coming off a 22-point performance against IU Indy.
LAST TIME OUT
Eight of Bellarmine's 11 final nonconference games are away from Knights Hall. BU started that stretch in encouraging fashion with an 82-50 romp at Ohio. The 32-point margin of victory was Bellarmine's largest against a D1 opponent in the five-year D1 era. The Knights led 52-33 at halftime and were up 24 by the end of the third as five players scored in double figures and another was one point shy. Senior guard
Hope Sivori had team highs of 16 points, six assists and three steals while tying a team best with seven rebounds.

Hayley Harrison is the reigning ASUN Player of the Week and junior guard
Erin Toller is the reigning ASUN Newcomer of the Week. Harrison averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists in the team's 3-0 start. She is only three points shy of 1,000 for her college career, which began at UT Martin but is now in its third season at Bellarmine, where she's amassed 813 of the points. Toller averaged 13.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in the first three games. She had a stretch against Midway in the fourth quarter where she sank six straight shots, including three 3-pointers, while scoring 15 straight points.
