LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bellarmine wrestling travels to Boone, N.C. for a conference matchup with Appalachian State University on Sunday, February 18. The dual is scheduled for 1 pm E.T. in Varsity Gym on the campus of Appalachian State University.
The Knights have lost each of their last four matches, including three against Southern Conference opponents and look to get back in the win column this weekend.
App State enters the contest at 8-3 on the year, 5-1 in SoCon action. The Mountaineers are coming off a double-header win, topping Presbyterian 54-0 and Davidson 44-0 on Thursday. App State has won each of their last four bouts, having not lost since the beginning of the month when they came up just short, losing 22-16 to Campbell, the top ranked team in the Southern Conference.
Bellarmine (13-4, 3-3) notched its program record 13
th duals win of the season on Friday, Feb. 2, but has been unable to add to the total in recent weeks. This past weekend, the Knights battled in all three duals they competed in but, were unable to bring home a win. Redshirt
Grant O'Dell was a bright spot, winning all three of his bouts. O'Dell took a decision over Long Island University before earning major decision victories over conference opponents VMI and Campbell.
