FLORENCE, Ala. — North Alabama missed a single shot in the fourth quarter as the Lions controlled the second half in an 88-66 victory over the Bellarmine University women's basketball team in Atlantic Sun Conference play Saturday night in Flowers Hall.
Bellarmine (8-17, 3-10 ASUN) only trailed 34-29 at halftime, but North Alabama (11-15, 7-6) outscored the Knights 54-37 in the second half. The Lions made 12 of their 13 field-goal attempts in the fourth quarter and held a double-digit lead throughout the period as Alexis Callins finished with five 3-pointers and a game-high 22 points.

Miyah Brown notched 16 points and six rebounds for Bellarmine. Junior guard
Hayley Harrison added 14 points and two blocks. Junior guard
Hope Sivori distributed five assists, senior guard
Ashlee Harris had four helpers and three steals, and sophomore guard
Jayla Butler corralled eight rebounds.
Behind the lights-out fourth quarter, North Alabama shot 56.9 percent from the floor while sinking 10 of its 21 attempts from 3-point range. The Knights were limited to 34.3 percent shooting as the Lions produced nine blocks.
Bellarmine does not have an upcoming weekday game and will next play at 4 p.m. (ET) Saturday at Eastern Kentucky.
