LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A pair of big innings lifted Louisville to an 11-1 win over the Bellarmine University baseball team Tuesday at Jim Patterson Stadium.
Bellarmine (1-19) trailed only 2-1 after the top of the fourth, but Louisville (14-7) scored four runs in the bottom half and added five more in the sixth.
Bellarmine scored its run in the fourth inning. Senior third baseman
Reed Blaszczyk ripped a triple and scored on a hard-hit ground ball by junior first baseman
Casey Sorg that was misplayed at third base.

Andres Castro and junior catcher
Matt Flaherty collected a hit for the Knights.

Chase Carver didn't allow an earned run in 1.0 inning apiece. Sophomore right-hander
Tyler Talbert struck out the lone batter he faced.
Bellarmine will host Jacksonville in an ASUN series Friday-Sunday. First pitch is at 2:30 p.m. (ET) Friday.
