NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Bellarmine University men's tennis team claimed three singles victories, but Lipscomb squeaked by the Knights 4-3 Friday in Atlantic Sun Conference play at the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center.
Bellarmine (7-13, 2-6 ASUN) was the beneficiary of wins by junior
Jack Batchelor at No. 1, senior
Kyle Tang at No. 2 and sophomore
Vineet Ramesh at No. 4. Lipscomb (10-11, 4-4) notched the other three singles victories in addition to securing the doubles point.
Batchelor handled Krzysztof Wetoszka 6-1, 6-1, Tang rallied to defeat Henrique Ushizima 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 and Ramesh bested Matheus Lima 6-2, 6-3.
Bellarmine will conclude the season with an ASUN match at 4 p.m. (ET) Sunday at North Alabama.
