LOUISVILLE, Ky. — North Alabama had a big second inning and followed with several more in running away from the Bellarmine University baseball team for a 22-3 win in Atlantic Sun Conference play Sunday at Knights Field.
North Alabama (13-20, 5-10 ASUN) took the opener and finale to capture the series over the Knights (6-29, 5-10). The Lions amassed 23 hits, including three home runs, and scored four runs in the second, five in the fourth, six in the fifth and five in the sixth.
Senior center fielder
Will Aubel went 2-for-4 and blasted his first home run of the season for Bellarmine, a two-run shot in the second. Sophomore left fielder
Joey Milto preceded Aubel's long ball with an RBI double.
Bellarmine will play at 6 p.m. (ET) Tuesday at Tennessee.
