HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — Northern Kentucky secured a 1-0 win over the Bellarmine University women's soccer team Thursday night at NKU Soccer Stadium.
Northern Kentucky (3-5) scored in the 74th minute against Bellarmine (1-4-1), as Maria Wiefering sank a header from 8 yards off a corner kick by Lilly Yordy.

Sydni Whitehead had a shot deflect off the crossbar in the 79th minute.
Northern Kentucky finished with an 11-6 advantage in shots, including 6-1 on frame. Senior goalkeeper
Cambria Kingman recorded five saves for the Knights.
Bellarmine plays at 2 p.m. (ET) Sunday at Southern Indiana.
