HUNTINGTON, WV – Bellarmine women's tennis concluded its second weekend of play, falling 6-1 at Marshall on Sunday morning.
Sophomore
Nikola Kollaritsch secured Bellarmine's only point of the weekend in the No. 3 singles slot, taking a win over Alina Mokrynskaya after her opponent retired from the match in the middle of the second set. Kollarisch dropped the first set 7-5 but was leading 5-3 in the second set when Mokrynskaya retired.
In the No. 5 singles match, senior
Yeva Kramarova made things interesting, battling to the end of each set before ultimately falling 6-4, 7-5.
With the loss, the Knights move to 0-5 on the year while the win improved Marshall to 4-0 on the season.
Up next, Bellarmine will wrap up its lengthy road trip with one final match away from home, traveling to Nashville, TN on Friday, January 31 to take on Vanderbilt University.
