LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine University women's tennis team hosted Lipscomb on Saturday for its first home ASUN match of the season, falling 6-1 in the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.
With the loss, the Knights move to 2-15 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
The Bisons got on the board first, securing the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. Bellarmine's duo of
Marika Caruk and
Shu Grosso earned a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles, Lipscomb continued to tally the team points with wins on courts one, two, three, five and six. With their singles success, the Bisons clinched the match win.
Reese Parker earned the lone point for the Knights at No. 4 singles, winning via retirement after taking a 7-6 win in the first set of her match.
Up next, Bellarmine will close out the week with another home ASUN contest, taking on North Alabama on Sunday, March 16.
