Baseball drops midweek contest at Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Bellarmine University baseball team fell 13-0 to Indiana in midweek action Tuesday at Bart Kaufman Field.

Senior Casey Sorg, junior Luke Scales and freshman Christian Kiper had one hit each for Bellarmine (6-18). Sophomore left-hander Carson Brower, sophomore right-hander Sam Matherly and junior right-hander Brady Morse each tossed an inning of scoreless relief against the Hoosiers (14-11).

Indiana had a pair of five-run innings — the first and the fourth — and in between had a three-run second. The Hoosiers notched 15 hits, including four homers and four doubles.

Bellarmine will host Austin Peay in an ASUN series Friday-Sunday at Knights Field. Game times are 2 p.m. (ET), 2 p.m. and 1 p.m.
