LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bellarmine women's tennis returned home to the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex on Sunday afternoon, falling 5-2 to University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
With the loss, the Knights move to 2-13 overall.
Bellarmine started off hot, winning the doubles point.
Vendula Kryslova and
Reese Parker carried momentum over from their stellar day against FGCU, defeating their opponents 6-2 on court two. Shu Gross and
Marika Caruk secured the team point for the Knights with a 6-2 win on court three.
In singles, the Mocs responded quickly. Chattanooga won on courts 1-5, clinching the match in its favor.
At No. 6 singles,
Lillie Willis added another point for the Knights with her 7-5, 6-3 victory.
Up next, Bellarmine will continue its lengthy home stand on Tuesday, March 11 as host to UAB.
