LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine University men's and women's swim teams return to the pool for the first time in 2026, traveling to Cincinnati, OH for a dual at Xavier University on Saturday, January 17.
Taking place at the Heidt Family Champions Center at the O'Connor Sports Complex, the dual will begin at 1 pm E.T.
Saturday's meeting will mark the seventh consecutive season the Knights and Muskateers will face off. In last year's meet, the schools split the meet with Bellarmine winning on the men's side and Xavier winning on the women's.
In their last time out in November, the Knights set multiple new school records at the A3 Performance Invitational. Freshman standout
Ahmet Efe Inceoglu earned ASUN Swimmer of the Week honors after claiming gold in the 200 freestyle with a school record time of 1:36.58. He also placed fourth in the 50 freestyle where he set a school record in the preliminary race with a 20:57. He completed the trifecta when he set a school record in the 100 freestyle with a 44.00 as the leadoff man for the 400-freestyle relay team.
Senior
Sam Jones was the next best finisher for the men, taking third in the 1650 freestyle (15:54.45).
The Knights' women's team also added a host of sixth, seventh and eighth place finishes thanks to junior
