Men's tennis falls to James Madison 5-2

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine men's tennis team dropped a tough match to James Madison 5-2 on Sunday morning at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.

Bellarmine came out on top in doubles. In flight one, Senior Eli Wood and freshman Ryan Parkins went the distance for a 7-6 (7-2) win. Senior Matthew Nice and freshman Colby Berson secured the team point with their 6-3 win in flight two.

In singles, Nice continued his strong day with a 6-3, 6-4 victory on court one for a 2-0 day.

From there, it was all Dukes as James Madison went on to sweep the final five singles matches to earn the 5-2 match win.

Up next, Bellarmine will go back on the road, traveling to Blacksburg, VA to take on Virginia Tech on Sunday, February 15.
