FLORENCE, Al. – Bellarmine men's tennis played its second Atlantic Sun Conference opponent of the season on Monday, falling 6-1 to North Alabama at UNA Tennis Courts.
The Knights (1-9, 0-2 ASUN) dropped their fifth straight match on Monday while North Alabama (8-6, 3-0 ASUN) won its second match in a row.
Playing shorthanded, Bellarmine was competitive on both doubles courts but was unable to notch a win as the Lions took the point.
In singles, senior
Matthew Nice got the Knights on the board with a 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8) victory on court one, tying the match 1-1.
From there, it was all UNA as the Lions swept the next four singles matches while also picking up another point on court six with a walkover win.
Up next, Bellarmine will host Centre at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex on Saturday, March 14.
