Women's tennis drops regular season finale to Austin Peay

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine University team played its final regular season match of the 2025-26 season on Friday afternoon, falling 4-3 to Austin Peay at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.

Before the match, the Knights celebrated senior day, honoring Vendula Kryslova for her four years of play and dedication to Bellarmine University. Kryslova racked up 76 total wins in her career for Bellarmine.

The Knights opened the match with two wins in doubles to secure the team point. Kryslova and partner sophomore Reese Parker got the first win in flight one 6-4. Freshman Gracie Hurley and junior Lillie Willis capped off the doubles session with a 6-2 win in flight three.

Moving into singles, Hurley and Willis each got their second wins of the day. Hurley notched hers 6-1, 6-0 on court five while Willis won 6-1, 6-2 on court six to move the Knights ahead 3-0.

From there, it was all Austin Peay as the Governors swept the final four courts to steal the match 4-3.

Up next, Bellarmine will compete in the ASUN Conference Tournament Tuesday April 14 to Saturday April 18 in Fort Meyers, FL.
