VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Bellarmine University men's golf team closed out its 2025-26 season on Thursday, completing competition at the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
Bellarmine finished the three-day event in 12
th place at 46-over par.
Sophomore
Ben Davenport came in as the Knights top performer, turning in an even par score after 54 holes. Davenport opened the tournament with a three-under par 69, the low round by any Knight. He finished the event with rounds of 74, 73 to take a share of 15
th, the best finish by an individual Knight in the ASUN Championship, topping the previous best of 29
th place by
Luke Bischoff (2023-24) and Kannon Tucker (2022-23). Over the three rounds, Davenport carded 34 pars, tied for eighth most, and 10 birdies while limiting his bogey holes to just six, the eighth fewest in the field.
Redshirt sophomore
Ben Wulkopf and senior
Kash Albarado both turned in three straight rounds in the 70s. Wulkopf collected nine birdied en route to his 11-over, 47
th place finish. Albarado tallied six birdies while carding a +15 51
st place finish.
Senior
Peyton Bonny recorded the lone eagle for the Knights, carding a three on the par five 11
th hole in the second round. Bonny finished 54
th in the event at 22-over par.
Freshman
Landon Stillwell and redshirt senior
Riley Jude Bender split the final spot with Stillwell playing the first two rounds at +18 before Bender subbed in for the final round to shoot a 10-over 82.
Florida Gulf Coast collected the team championship, shooting 15-under par.
The Eagles' Sebastian Gamboa claimed individual medalist honors, shooting an impressive 12-under par. Fellow Eagle Sach Ruiz placed second at 9-under par to help lead FGCU to the tournament title.
