JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two Bellarmine University throwers and a distance runner scored Thursday on the opening day of the ASUN Outdoor Championships at the University of North Florida's Hodges Stadium.
Caysie Brady set new women's overall and freshman program records in the hammer throw with a toss of 53.42m while placing sixth and earning three points. She bested Ally Kluender's 52.54m from the 2021 Kentucky Invitational for the overall mark and her own 50.96 from the
Jim Vargo Invitational for the freshman mark.

Will Bracher garnered a point in the men's hammer throw after placing eighth with a toss of 50.53m.

Salah Farah secured four points in the men's 10000m after finishing fifth in 30:55.14.

Grant King qualified for the finals in the men's 200m after placing seventh (21.65) in the prelims, as did freshman
Taevion Sweeney in the men's 400m hurdles (eighth, 54.75) and senior
Sierra Oesterling in the women's 1500m (11th, 4:53.63).
The conference meet will continue Friday and Saturday.
