CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Bellarmine University men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw with Xavier on Tuesday night at Corcoran Field.
In its 2026 road debut, Bellarmine (1-0-1) recorded its first shutout of the season. Xavier (1-0-1) did as well.
There was nothing deceptive about the final score. The defenses dominated play, with neither allowing a shot on goal.
In fact, there were a mere six shots combined in the entire contest. Xavier had four attempts and Bellarmine had two. The amount of corner kicks was identical to those tallies.
With less than two minutes remaining, Xavier did have a potential game-winning goal nullified due to offsides. However, there was hardly any drama surrounding the call. The flag immediately went up, and video confirmation was prompt.
Bellarmine will play at 7 p.m. (ET) Sunday at Northern Kentucky.
