LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University men's soccer team scored four goals in the first half and remained unbeaten as the Knights rolled to a 6-0 win over Chicago State on Saturday at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.
Bellarmine (5-0-1) boosted its winning streak to four and its unbeaten streak to six to start the
Matt Cannady era. The Knights' home unbeaten streak — intact since 2024 — rose to 14 games.
Bellarmine's six goals were its third-highest scoring effort in the D1 era, as were its 18 points. The Knights' 16 shots on goal were their second most in the D1 era, their 25 total shots tied the second-highest output and their six assists tied their third-highest mark.

Kanata Taira each had a brace for Bellarmine. The goals were the first of Krall's college career, and Taira's first as a Knight.

David Skorupan also found the net against Chicago State (0-6). It was Skorupan's first collegiate goal while Nissen-Lie bumped his season tally to three.

Reed Newman notched one assist apiece. It was the first point of Newman's collegiate career.
After a slow start, Bellarmine rattled off four goals in roughly a 16-minute span in the first half. Krall got the Knights on the board, and Nissen-Lie found the net less than two minutes later. Taira then put away two goals as the lead spiked to 4-0 at halftime.
Skorupan opened the scoring in the second half, and Krall capped the net-finding while securing his brace.
Bellarmine notched its third shutout despite 11 shots from Chicago State, including six on frame. Senior

Benny Howard registered three saves apiece in goal.
Bellarmine will host Hanover at 7 p.m. (ET) Tuesday.
