Chris Meyer

Chris Meyer began working as an assistant coach for the Bellarmine University field hockey team under Coach Mark Blankenbaker in the 2012 season.

In 2016, Meyer helped lead Bellarmine to its most wins since 2011 as the Knights accumulated 13 victories. Bellarmine tied for second place in the Eastern College Athletic Conference during the regular season and was the No. 2 seed in the ECAC Tournament. Six Knights were recognized on the All-ECAC teams.

In 2015, Meyer helped guide Bellarmine to the championship game of the ECAC Tournament for the second straight season. The Knights tallied 10 victories and they placed four members on the All-ECAC teams. In addition, Kelsey O'Bryan was named an All-American.

In 2014, Meyer helped lead Bellarmine to an 11-win season that included an appearance in the ECAC Tournament finals. Six players were named All-ECAC.

Meyer, a Louisville native, is a veteran of the field hockey sidelines, having coached youth field hockey in middle school for a dozen years.

Meyer earned his bachelor’s degree in management with a minor in computer science at McKendree University. He is a graduate of St. Xavier High School in Louisville.

Meyer resides in Louisville with his wife, Margaret. The couple has two children.
