Scooter Galloway was hired as the Bellarmine University men’s basketball team’s first-ever director of basketball operations prior to the 2021-22 season and was promoted to assistant coach prior to the 2024-25 season.
The full-time position marks a continued progression of Galloway’s career with Bellarmine under head coach Scott Davenport. A 2018 graduate of Bellarmine, Galloway was a team manager throughout his undergraduate career and then returned in a volunteer coaching capacity for the 2019-20 season and served as a graduate assistant for the 2020-21 team.
In addition to his vast Bellarmine experience, Galloway has worked in the Louisville Bats organization, starting as a bat boy in 2010 and serving as the visiting clubhouse manager in the 2014 season. He also has served as a substitute teacher in the Jefferson County Public Schools and at DeSales High School, where he also was an assistant basketball coach in 2018-19.
Galloway earned his bachelor's degree in sports administration from Bellarmine in 2018, and he is currently enrolled in Bellarmine’s master of business administration program.
