Aaron Dauenhauer joined the Bellarmine University sprint football team's staff as the defensive line coach prior to the program's inaugural season in 2022.
In the program's first year, Bellarmine had a winning season. The Knights in 2022 went 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the Midwest Sprint Football League, good for third place in the conference. In the first game in program history, Bellarmine captured a 17-15 road victory at Midway on a game-winning 33-yard field goal with 44 seconds left. The Knights earned 12 MSFL All-Conference laurels, including three from Dauenhauer's defensive line in ends Royce Hall, Michael Miller and Louinel Plaisir.
Dauenhauer is a 2010 graduate of DeSales High School in Louisville, where he was member of the 2009 Class 2A state runner-up football team. Dauenhauer previously coached for 12 seasons and has held various positions, from front office roles (statistics/film) to position coach (offensive/defensive). He has accumulated two state championships, four regional championships and two district championships during his years of coaching.
Dauenhauer is a graduate of the University of Louisville and has a wife, LeeAnn.
