Kyle Perry joined the Bellarmine University sprint football team's staff as the running backs coach prior to the program's inaugural season in 2022.
In the program's inaugural year, Bellarmine had a winning season. The Knights in 2022 went 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the Midwest Sprint Football League, good for third place in the conference. In the first game in program history, Bellarmine captured a 17-15 road victory at Midway on a game-winning 33-yard field goal with 44 seconds left. The Knights earned 12 MSFL All-Conference laurels while running back Brenden Reid, a member of Perry's position group, was named MSFL Offensive MVP.
Perry is a 2010 graduate of DeSales High School in Louisville, where he was a starting varsity tailback for three years and was part of the 2009 2A state runner-up team. He coached varsity running backs at DeSales for six seasons before moving on to Doss to become the offensive coordinator for two seasons.
Perry earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University Southeast.
