Camille McLellan joined the Bellarmine University women's basketball staff as an assistant coach in June of 2025.
McLellan arrived at Bellarmine after a highly successful two-year stint at Monroe (NY) College in which she guided the Mustangs to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament both seasons. She shepherded Monroe to consecutive Region 20 Championship titles along with the 2024 Mid-Atlantic District Championship crown en route to NJCAA's "Big Dance" and was recognized as the NJCAA Mid-Atlantic District Coach of the Year in both years.
In McLellan’s first season at Monroe in 2023-24, she steered the Mustangs to a 19-11 finish. Her 2024-25 squad opened the season 6-0, which was the first of three separate six-game winning streaks plus another five-game march on the way to a 25-5 mark. McLellan mentored an All-American both seasons (Emma Wilson-Saltos in 2023-24 and Kaylyn Lelie in 2024-25) at Monroe’s helm while six players signed with either Division I or D2 programs.
Prior to her stint at Monroe, McLellan was a graduate assistant at Fairleigh Dickinson, helping the 2022-23 Knights to a program-record 24 victories and a Northeast Conference regular-season championship. She preceded her time at FDU by serving as the women’s basketball program’s coordinator of recruiting and player development at Fordham University.
McLellan graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science in human development and family science degree from Ohio State University in 2021 and followed by earning a master of sports coaching and leadership degree from OSU in 2022.
Buckeye country is also where her college coaching journey began, as she served as a graduate manager with the women’s basketball team and was part of a staff that led OSU to a Big Ten regular-season championship in 2021-22.
