Madyson Chitty was added as a graduate assistant on the Bellarmine volleyball coaching staff in August of 2025.

Chitty joins the Bellarmine program after finishing her five-year collegiate career. She played her final season in 2024 at Western Kentucky University as a graduate student after playing four years at Rutgers.

At WKU, Chitty appeared in all 35 matches and played in all 126 sets for the Lady Toppers. She ranked fourth on the team with 161 digs on the year and turned in a season-high 13 digs and four aces on September 6 at Michigan State.

During her Rutgers career, Chitty was a four-year starter and played in 401 career sets, seventh-most in program history. She finished fourth in career digs with 1,294 and fourth in Rutgers’ Rally Era in digs per set, averaging 3.23 over her career. Chitty also finished her career She led the Scarlett Knights in digs and digs per set in all four seasons of her career. Chitty also amassed 273 assists, 58 service aces and five kills in her career.

As a senior in 2023, Chitty played in 115 total sets with her 77 sets of Big Ten play marking the most in the conference. She reached double-figure digs in 20 of 30 matches and recorded 20+ digs five times, including a career-high 28 in a five-set victory over Iowa on October. 27. She also turned in a career-high 19 services aces during her senior campaign.

Chitty was selected for the U.S. Women’s National Team Open program as a junior in 2022 after appearing in 32 matches and 110 sets for the Scarlett Knights.

Throughout her four years at Rutgers, Chitty was twice named Academic All-Big Ten (2021, 2022) and received the 2022 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.

A Lewis Center, Ohio native, she was a 2019 AAU National Champion and recorded over 2,050 digs and 1,600 service receptions during her career at Olentangy High School. She was named 2019 Conference Player of the Year and All-Ohio Honorable Mention.
