LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Brittany Edelen led four Bellarmine players in double figures as the Knights scored an 85-77 come-from-behind victory over Edinboro University in the championship game of the United Electric Holiday Tournament tonight in Knights Hall.

Edelen dropped in 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Bellarmine in both categories as she helped lead Bellarmine (8-1) back from a 10-point second half deficit.

“If you play hard, good things will happen,” said Bellarmine Head Coach David Smith, “and we did that the last six and a half minutes.”

The Fighting Scots used excellent work on the offensive glass to help slowly establish a lead, and found themselves up 43-33 at the 18:25 mark.  The Knights slowly worked their way back in the game and took the lead with 4:42 remaining when Edelen converted an old-fashioned 3-point play.

Joining Edelen in double figures for the Knights were Kylie Brady and Melissa Fitz, who each tossed in  15.  Allison Matheis chipped in with 12, including a 3-pointer at the 1:05 mark that sealed the victory for Bellarmine.

Edinboro (5-3) was led by Samantha Reimer's 25 points.
