INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.--The Bellarmine University women's basketball team fell behind early and never recovered as the host Indianapolis Greyhounds ran out to a 73-56 victory in a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest in Nicoson Hall tonight.

The Knights were outrebounded 41-24 and surrendered 19 offensive rebounds as the Greyhounds shot just 42.4 percent, but made up for their lack of accuracy with second chance points.

Down 40-27 at the half, Bellarmine mounted bit of a comeback midway through the second period, cutting the lead to just nine but Indianapolis used the 3-point shot to re-establish a double digit lead. The Greyhounds finished the game 15 of 32 from 3-point range.

Lauren Jones led the Knights with 20 points, and Kylee Hamilton added 10 points and led the Knights with six rebounds.  Bellarmine shot just 40.5 percent on the game, but made three of six treys.

The Greyhounds placed three players in double figures led by Shelby Wall with 23.

Bellarmine falls to 9-8, 4-5 GLVC, and UIndy climbs to 10-6, 5-3 GLVC.

The Knights return home to face Northern Kentucky on Thursday night.  Tip is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. in Knights Hall.
