Box Score ST. LOUIS --- Playing only their second road game of the year, the Bellarmine Knights were unable to complete a late comeback as they fell 71-61 at Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
Down by 14 with just under ten minutes to play, Bellarmine (11-3, 1-2 GLVC) was able to cut the lead to just four with 2:15 left, but ultimately could not battle all the way back. UMSL (6-6, 1-3 GLVC) took the lead for good at 7-6 on a three-pointer by Kelly Kunkel, then hit 8 of 10 free throws with under two minutes left to seal the victory.

Kelsey Lamb powered an outstanding performance from the BU bench which produced 31 of the Knights' 61 points in the game. Lamb, a Fishers, Ind. native, just missed a double-double with 11 points and 8 rebounds.
Betsy Goodin led the Knights in scoring with 14 on 5 of 7 shooting.
Missouri-St. Louis put four players in double-figures with Hazaria Washington posting a game-high 16 points and 10 rebounds. Bellarmine won the overall battle on the glass 36-32, the first time they've done so in a losing effort.
The Knights will stay in St. Louis for the rest of the weekend, heading crosstown to take on the reigning GLVC Champions, Maryville, on Sunday. Tip is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. EST with live stats and radio links being available on BUKnights.com.
