Box Score EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Bellarmine guard Kylie Brady scored 17 points to lead a trio of double figures scorers, but the Knights women's basketball team lost to the University of Southern Indiana 67-58 on Thursday night at the Physical Activities Center.

BU Head Coach Chancellor Dugan was coaching her first game against USI.  Dugan, in her first season in charge of the Knights, coached Southern Indiana for nine seasons from 1991-99, and led the Screaming Eagles to an appearance in the NCAA Division II National Championship Game in 1997.

Darion Hutchinson recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds, a team high.  Brady, who was 5-10 from beyond the arc to tie a career high in three-point field goals made, was also joined in double figures by Betsy Goodin's 10.

Turnovers doomed the Knights, as the team committed 22 on the evening, while only forcing 15 by USI.  Bellarmine did outrebound the hosts 45-38, scoring seven points on the second chance, compared to one for Southern Indiana.

The Knights were able to establish their first lead of the game when Brady connected on a three-pointer from the left wing with 16:29 left, making the score 41-39 in Bellarmine's favor.  The Knights led by as many as six points before the Screaming Eagles responded with a 12-1 run and never trailed again.

Southern Indiana center Anna Hackert led all scorers with 20 points off 7-17 shooting, and pulled down a team-high nine rebounds.

The Knights fell behind 9-2 in the early stages of the game, connecting on just one of their first eight field goal attempts.  BU trailed by as many as eight points during the frame, but was able to pull even at 28 with 2:31 remaining on a Hamilton jumper from just outside the lane.

Bellarmine returns to the friendly confines of Knights Hall on Saturday for a homecoming matchup with Kentucky Wesleyan College.  Tip-off is scheduled for 5:45 p.m.
