Box Score LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The No. 2 Bellarmine Knights turned in a dominating performance as they rolled past Ohio Valley University 106-72 tonight on the second day of the Holiday Inn Southwest Classic in Knights Hall.

Five different Knights scored in double figures, and no BU player logged more than 23 minutes of action. Jake Thelen turned in an outstanding first half en route to posting a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds while playing just 19 minutes.

Bellarmine Coach Scott Davenport played every available player at least five minutes as 12 players hit the scoring column for the Knights.

The team statistics speak to the spot-on performance for Bellarmine: 27 assists compared to just eight turnovers, 58.8 percent shooting while holding OVU to just 41.9 percent, and owning a 42-28 rebounding advantage.

"It was a tremendous win and a great weekend," said Davenport. "Our goal was to win back to back games on consecutive days to simulate postseason play. So now when we get into March and this happens, we know. We've been here and done this."

All 14 players for Bellarmine posted at least one positive statistic on a night full of highlights. Double digit scorers included Thelen (17), Suggs (16), Vance Hall (14), Josh Derksen (11), and Tanner Gibson (10).

Although it was a great performance by the Knights, the game started poorly for the home team. In the opening three minutes, Bellarmine misfired on their first six field goal attempts and fell behind 6-1. It didn't take long for BU to right the ship, however, as an 11-0 run gave the Knights the lead for good. By halftime the lead had grown to 16, and after the Knights heated up from 3-point range in the second half, Bellarmine's cushion grew to as many as 38.

Bellarmine improved to 7-0 on the season while the Fighting Scots, out of the Great Midwest Conference, drop to 1-10.

The Knights are back in action with their first true road game of the season on Dec. 19 at Fairmont State in Fairmont, W.V.
