Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. --- After picking up a big win on Thursday over Southern Indiana, the Bellarmine Knights couldn't keep the momentum going on the road, falling at Kentucky Wesleyan 60-49 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup.
Bellarmine (18-10, 8-9 GLVC) turned in a stingy defensive performance, forcing the Panthers into a 25-of-63 (39.7%) performance which included going just 4-for-21 (19.0%) from behind the arc. Kentucky Wesleyan, who headed into the game as the GLVC's leader in 3-point shooting, countered with a defensive masterpiece of their own, forcing Bellarmine into 24 turnovers.
Sophomore
Darion Hutchinson scored two of her team-high 12 points on Bellarmine's opening possession with it being BU's only lead of the game. KWC led by 10 at the midway point before the Knights cut it to 5 at the break.
Bellarmine tied the game at 29-to-29 in the opening moments of the second half, but the Panthers ran off 9 straight to put the game out of reach.
The Knights committed 16 of their 24 miscues in the final period which led to 13 points for Kentucky Wesleyan. The Panthers controlled the glass, winning the battle of the boards by one, but pulling down 15 offensive boards compared to just 8 for BU.

Rachel Greenwell chipped in 9.
Bellarmine will now return home for their regular season finale against McKendree on Thursday. Tip is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. with Senior Day activities coming before the game.
