ROLLA, Mo. — The visiting Bellarmine University men's soccer team played to a 2-2 deadlock with Missouri S&T on Friday in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
Junior midfielders
Nathan Jones and
Callum Southern scored for Bellarmine (5-7-2, 4-6-1 GLVC), which battled back against the Miners (7-1-5, 6-0-4) from two deficits. Missouri S&T is in second place in the GLVC.
Felipe Andrade scored both of the Miners' goals. The first came in the sixth minute when he sank a shot from 12 yards for an early 1-0 lead.
The score remained the same at halftime, but Jones tied it up in the 59th minute when he buried a shot from 20 yards from the wing. It was Jones' third goal of the season.
Andrade struck again roughly two minutes later. He headed in a rebound for his 10th goal of the year and a 2-1 lead.
Bellarmine again managed to deliver an equalizer. Southern drilled a free kick from 25 yards in the 71st minute to knot the score at 2-2. It was his fifth goal of the season and fourth in four matches.

Tommy Hebert made a huge save inside the final minute of regulation to preserve the tie.
Neither team was able to score over two overtime sessions. Bellarmine finished with a 14-12 advantage in shots, including 8-5 on frame.
The Knights play at 3:30 p.m. (ET) Sunday at Drury.
