LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Alabama-Huntsville captured a 6-1 victory Sunday over the Bellarmine University men's tennis team at Advantage Tennis and Fitness.

Freshman Caleb Buckman notched Bellarmine's win at No. 1 singles, defeating Timo Christen 6-2, 3-6, 10-7. Buckman and sophomore Sam Rueff were leading 5-4 at No. 1 doubles, but UAH had already clinched the doubles point so that match wasn't completed.

Bellarmine dropped to 3-5, while UAH improved to 4-1.

"They were a really good team, but that is what we are going to face until the end of the season," Knights Coach Tyler Worley said. "Caleb once again had a great match and finished it out. We just have to stay positive and prepare for conference."

Bellarmine will play March 8 at Hanover (Ind.) College.
