LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine University catcher Patrick Arndt was acknowledged among the 2020 Rawlings "Finest in the Field" Award recipients for his handiwork with the mitt in the Northwoods League.
The annual award recognizes the top fielders at each position in the Northwoods League. Arndt was cited as the catcher after posting a .990 fielding percentage with the Kalamazoo Mac Daddies over the summer.
Arndt is entering his first season at Bellarmine. He was the starting catcher and team captain for Chicago State before it eliminated the baseball program. Prior to that, Arndt was a two-time All-Region selection at Prairie State, where he hit .423 and .391 over two seasons.
