LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Former Bellarmine University outfielder
Casey Sorg and right-handed pitcher
Blake Donnan have both signed professionally with teams from the independent Frontier League.
Sorg, who played 22 games for the Frontier League's Billings Mustangs last season following the completion of his senior year at Bellarmine, signed with the Evansville Otters. Donnan, who also finished his career with the Knights last season, signed with the Florence Y'alls.
Sorg batted .305 with seven doubles, a triple and 14 RBI for Billings last season. The native of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, was a first-team All-ASUN selection as a junior at Bellarmine when he batted .348 with 14 homers, 12 doubles, three triples and 49 RBI. For his four-year career with the Knights, the switch hitter batted .304 with 29 homers, 32 doubles, five triples, 124 RBI and 128 runs scored.
Donnan played his final two college seasons at Bellarmine. The native of Taylorville, Illinois, made 28 career appearances on the mound, including five starts. The righty made 21 relief appearances in 2025 and recorded two wins and three saves while striking out 30 in 42.1 innings pitched.
