JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—The Bellarmine volleyball team faced off against a red-hot Kennesaw State squad today on day two of the ASUN Conference crossover weekend, and the Knights couldn't slow them down as the Owls won in straight sets in the match held on the campus of the University of North Florida.
Bellarmine hung tough with the Owls in the first set and the game was tied 23-all before KSU got a kill and service ace to escape with 25-23 win. The final two sets were pretty much all Kennesaw State as the Owls rolled to 25-10, 25-13 victories while holding Bellarmine to a negative hitting percentage.
The Knights were led by
Jayme Scott's seven kills with
Bailey Venard adding six. As a team, Bellarmine managed just 20 kills while committing 24 attack errors with 10 coming on KSU blocks.

Anna Lococo posted a match-high 12 digs to pace the Knights defensively.
Kennesaw State's Lauren Chastain recorded an outstanding stat line with 10 kills, three service aces, two solo blocks and two assisted blocks to finish with 16 points.
The Owls capture their fifth consecutive win and improve to 13-8 overall and 7-3 in league play while Bellarmine slips to 6-16, 2-8 ASUN.
Bellarmine faces Stetson on Sunday at 11 a.m. to close out the ASUN Crossover. The Hatters dropped a 4-set decision to Lipscomb in their match on Saturday.
