LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Belmont defeated the Bellarmine University men's tennis team 6-1 on Friday at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.
Freshmen
Eli Franks and
Emil B. Berglund captured a 6-2 win over David Faulkner and Alfred Wallin at No. 3 doubles for Bellarmine (1-6) against Belmont (1-1), while Berglund notched a 6-0, 2-6, 6-1 victory over Tomas Luis at No. 2 singles.
"We definitely fought better than our previous match," Knights Coach
Will Davis said. "We are learning and improving every day. It was a match that could have flipped with a few small things. We need to continue to work on those inches."
Bellarmine plays Feb. 14 at Xavier.
