LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Saint Louis topped the Bellarmine University men's tennis team 5-2 on Sunday at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.
Sophomore
Cole Groetsch won a pair of matches for Bellarmine (3-13) against Saint Louis (4-3), teaming with junior
Evan Bottorff for a 6-3 win over Eliott Ekindi and David Hopper at No. 1 doubles and defeating Ekindi 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.
Freshman
Emil B. Berglund rallied to defeat Oscar Alvarez 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 at No. 2 singles.
"The guys are working through adversity," Knights Coach
Will Davis said. "They are each filling up their own cups drip by drip. It is going to pay off in the end. We just have to be patient."
Bellarmine opens ASUN play Friday at Lipscomb.
