LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University men's tennis team concluded the regular season with a 7-0 sweep of Hanover on Wednesday at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.
Bellarmine (4-19) took all three doubles matches as sophomores
Cole Groetsch and
Michael Staff defeated Joey Keal and Connor Garrison 6-0 at No. 1, freshman
Paul Reynolds and junior
Sam Rueff topped Keith Asplund and Pablo Gallart 7-5 at No. 2, and junior
Nick Johnson and sophomore
Noah Neuhauser bested Brandon Clunie and Jed Pajt 6-2 at No. 3.
Groetsch (No. 1), freshman
Emil B. Berglund (No. 2), Rueff (No. 3), Staff (No. 4) and freshman
Eli Franks (No. 5) all won in straight sets, while junior
Joseph Naville outlasted Clunie in a tiebreaker at No. 6.
Bellarmine plays at 2 p.m. (ET) Saturday at Liberty in the ASUN Championship quarterfinals.
