LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Lucy Ibeh and Hannah Langhi both recorded double-doubles as Central Arkansas topped the Bellarmine University women's basketball team 55-41 Wednesday in ASUN action in Freedom Hall.
Ibeh registered a game-high 20 points and 10 rebounds for UCA (6-7, 1-1 ASUN), while Langhi tallied 17 points and a game-best 13 rebounds. The Sugar Bears outscored the Knights 20-9 in the fourth quarter to pull away.
There weren't many positives for Bellarmine (3-11, 0-3), which only scored 18 points in the second half and shot 25.4 percent for the game. Central Arkansas held the Knights under 10 points in three of the four quarters and outscored them by 19 over the final two periods.
Bellarmine didn't have a double-figure scorer. Senior forward
Sheniqua Coatney led the Knights with nine points. Senior guard
Presley Brown collected five rebounds and five steals, while freshman forward
Haley Stoklosa blocked three shots.
Bellarmine led 14-10 after the first quarter and 23-18 at the break. Central Arkansas outscored the Knights by eight in the third period to take a 35-32 lead into the fourth, where the Sugar Bears broke it open by holding Bellarmine scoreless over the first six minutes.
Bellarmine will play at 2:30 p.m. (ET) Saturday at Lipscomb.
