Swimming returns to pool, hosts Evansville on Senior Day

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After over a month removed from competition with the holiday break and cancellations, Bellarmine swimming is back in the pool on Saturday. 
 
The men's and women's teams host Evansville at the Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center at 1:00 p.m. in their second home meet of the year.  Saturday also represents Senior Day – 11 senior swimmers will be honored including six from the women's squad and five from the men's team:

Men's Seniors
 
Aubrey Archer Adams – Major: Exercise Science/Pre-Physical Therapy | Hometown: Covington, Ky.
Chance Fiallo – Major: Chemistry | Hometown: Indianapolis, Ind.
Conner Lynn – Major: Biology | Hometown: Louisville, Ky.
Daniel Sims – Major: Criminal Justice/Sociology | Hometown: Fort Wright, Ky.
Matthew Sims – Major: Nursing | Hometown: Fort Wright, Ky.
 
The Knights men's team is 2-1 this year, last swimming on Dec. 4 against Eastern Illinois at Indiana State.  The women's team is 3-3 with their last competition also coming Dec. 4 at Indiana State. 
 
Along with the multiple stellar team and individual performances, the Knights have racked up four CCSA Swimmer of the Week honors this year – Matthew SimsRachel WalkerBrandon Thomas, and Anna Holt.
 
Evansville's women's team is 4-1 in duals this season and most recently swam at the A3 Invitational hosted by Southern Illinois Nov. 11-13.  The Purple Aces finished second out of five teams at SIU, while Bellarmine finished right behind them in third in that same invitational.
 
On the men's side, Evansville is 3-0 in its duals and finished second out of five teams at the A3 Invitational.  Like the women, Bellarmine's men also finished right behind the Purple Aces.
