EVANSVILLE, Ind. — The Bellarmine University women's cross country team concluded the regular season Friday by placing fifth of 15 in the Angel Mounds Invitational at Angel Mounds State Historic Site.

The meet represented the lone 6k race of the season for Bellarmine. As she did in three previous 5k events this season, sophomore Sierra Oesterling posted an all-time top-50 time, except on this occasion it was in a 6k after she placed 11th overall in 22.03.9, the 31st-best mark in program history.

Oesterling rose from 13th to ninth on the 6k performance list (measures PR). Senior Anna Wells elevated from 20th to 18th on the performance list, also delivering a 6k PR after placing 21st in 22:29.1.

Junior Trisha Sexton placed 27th in 22:39.4, junior Taylor White finished 45th in 23:09.4 and junior Hannah Ellis took 61st in 23:44.6 to round out the Knights' top 5.

Lipscomb won the team title with 22.

Bellarmine will compete Oct. 28 in the ASUN Championship at Percy Warner Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
