KENNESAW, Ga. — Kennesaw State defeated the Bellarmine University volleyball team 3-0 in the regular season finale Saturday in ASUN action in the KSU Convocation Center.
Each set was tight, but the Owls (17-10, 10-6 ASUN) managed the sweep by scores of 26-24, 25-21, 25-22 over the Knights (9-19, 7-9).
Bellarmine tied a season high with 11 service aces and did it in only three sets. Senior

Kylie VanHoy racked up three apiece while senior
Mara Perry added two. Senior
MaryAnn O'Toole posted a team-high 10 kills, and freshman
Maddie Hagan registered a career-high six blocks.
Bellarmine trailed 16-9 in the first set before a 7-1 run untracked the Knights, who eventually stormed all the way back to earn set point at 24-23. However, Kennesaw State regrouped to take the frame with three straight points.
Bellarmine led 15-14 in the second set, but KSU took control with a 6-0 run. The Knights got within three on a couple occasions before the Owls closed it out, 25-21.
Bellarmine seemed poised to capture the third set after building a 19-16 lead, but Kennesaw State again rattled off six consecutive points. The Knights got back within one a few times before the Owls clinched the set, 25-22, and the match along with it.
Bellarmine is the eight-seed in the ASUN Championship and will play at top-seeded FGCU at 7 p.m. (ET) Thursday in the quarterfinals.
